Company Story
In 1993, James and Wendy kicked off their entrepreneurial journey,
setting up shop in the garage of their first home. But this wasn’t their first rodeo in the business world. James, no stranger to bootstrapping, had owned a baseball card shop and arcade during their dating years from 1990-1993.

James’ early lessons in hard work and entrepreneurship came from his mom, Jeannie. He fondly recalls selling Christmas cards to ladies at his mom’s beauty shop, perfecting the art of the sales pitch while they were under the hairdryer. Meanwhile, Wendy’s dad, Tom, a Veterinarian by trade, fueled her entrepreneurial spirit. In addition to his veterinary career, he continually invested in many ventures along with cattle ranching. He weathered both hardships and triumphs with unwavering support from Wendy’s mom, Pat.
After eight years of marriage, James and Wendy decided it was time to expand their family. James aimed for two kids, but they settled on four—Ashlynn, Tyler, Brandon, and Katelynn. The kids witnessed their parents navigating the highs and lows of a small business.
